 OH THESE IRISH HILLS ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Oh These Irish Hills! is pleased to announce…
A two-day event, leading to a summer-long experience, ending in OTIH’s Weekend Celebration:  May  through Sept.,2012

The Third Annual History  Palooza will be held May 26 & 27 in the upper level of the Irish Hills Plaza. The Irish Hills Plaza is located on the corner of U.S. 12 & Pentecost, 6867 US -12, Onsted, MI 49265. The cost of admission is a $1.00 or canned goods for the Brooklyn Food Pantry.

OTIH’s event will include historical, antiques, and collectables displays.  Again this year we will have lost arts’ demonstrations.  On Sunday only, there will be the Irish Hills’ Road Show, appraisals for a donation per item. This year we will have an oral interviewer, who will be looking for people who will share their stories.  Our resident author, Dan Doyle, will be present with his book, Paddy, and you can ask him how the sequel is coming. The Irish Hills timeline will again appear and we are hoping our guests will have information and photos to share with us. Also one of the highlights of the weekend will be the silent auction – you have to be there to see what treasures are available.

The History Palooza Weekend involves not only the Oh These Irish Hills! Palooza; but also 50+ other sites in the Village of Brooklyn, Onsted and the U.S. 12 corridor.  Participating sites will have a sign in front of their buildings, to “welcome” you.  You may pick up our colorful new map at any of these sites or for your convenience, you may download the 2-page copy of the map here.

Also there are six ViewScapes that beckon you to drive by.  We have Phil Hubbard’s Car and Memorabilia Museum, which is open to the public exclusively for the History Palooza weekend. What a great way to spend Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend – we hope to see you there. Watch for the signs!
