Oh These Irish Hills! is a non-profit organization formed in the late summer of 2004 with the stated purpose of advancing an Irish Hills legacy that involves area individuals, groups and organizations in activities that celebrate the beauty of the place, the spirit of its people and the progression of its history.

Oh These Irish Hills! Sponsored research on four historically significant properties in the Irish Hills. This research has been completed and was submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for recommendation to the National Park Service on the properties’ suitability as certified historic structures on the National Register of Historic Places. Irish Hills Twin Towers The Davenport House - Formally Bauer Mannor  

The wood frame Walker Tavern, now part of the Michigan Historical Museum System and St. Michaels Church are also listed on the National Register.
